Important Information: 2017 – School Admission Arrangements
Widcombe Infant School was affiliated to the Palladian Academy Trust on 1 July 2016 when this Multi-Academy Trust was formed. In line with statutory requirement, the School Admission Arrangements applying at the time the school converted to academy status must continue to apply until new admission arrangements are proposed and published.
The current ‘Widcombe Infant School 2016/17 Admission Arrangements’ and those for parents applying for the 2017/18 school year were devised and published by Bath and North East Somerset Council, which constituted the Admission Authority for the school prior to 1 July 2016. All admission applications submitted to the Local Authority or Widcombe Infant School which relate to these school years will be administered strictly in line with these published arrangements.
The School Governing Body, in conjunction with the Palladian Academy Trust, have recently conducted a public consultation proposing altered Admission Arrangements to apply from 1 September 2018. There were no comments or objections raised to the proposals during the consultation period and so these Admission Arrangements have now been formally published on the school website and will apply for the 2018/19 school year.
No further alteration will be made to the published 2018/19 Admission Arrangements unless necessary in order to reflect statutory change.
